Terry L. Engel

Terry Engel concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate tax, commercial real estate, and banking and corporate counseling. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of NCB Holdings, Inc. and on the Village of Skokie Library Board, as well as being actively involved in numerous charitable, civic, political and social organizations.

Terry has earned a reputation throughout the City of Chicago and surrounding area for his experience and success representing clients from large, publicly held companies, financial institutions, REITS and real estate developers, to single-family homeowners, in reducing their real estate tax liabilities. During the course of his career, Terry has cultivated long-standing relationships with property owners who rely on him to provide solid, practical advice based upon his breadth and depth of knowledge of the history of properties, obtaining tax incentives from governmental bodies, and proper fair market valuation.

In his banking and corporate counseling practice, Terry provides guidance to his clients in a wide variety of commercial transactions, including contract negotiation, loan documentation, license procurement, acquisitions and mergers, and counseling companies and individuals on the legal aspects of day-to-day business operations.

Terry is also a member of the Florida Bar and has represented developers owning numerous commercial properties and retail shopping centers.
