W. Jordan Melvin

Jordan handles the negotiations of key transactional documents on behalf of small and large companies, including asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, buy-sell agreements, LLC operating agreements, partnership agreements, third-party commercial contracts, corporate bylaws, articles of dissolution, non-competition, and non-disclosure agreements. A significant part of his practice involves counseling business owners on legal matters unique to their business and industry.

Throughout his career, Jordan also represented clients in various real estate matters,  including representing both individuals and businesses throughout the process of a commercial or residential real estate transaction. Jordan prides himself on his ability to direct communicate with clients from initial document drafting and negotiations, through diligence, title, and survey review, and finally through the closing process. Jordan has also recently passed the Illinois Real Estate Brokers examination.

Jordan traveled to Havana, Cuba to study future foreign investment, trade, and business transactions and to Madrid, Spain to study European human rights law, international and European business, and commercial law. Jordan was awarded a certificate from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, a university internationally ranked among the world’s best universities.
