AREA OF LEGAL CONCENTRATION

Andrew started his legal practice in the bankruptcy and restructuring area, seeing first-hand what happens when deals and businesses fail. He then focused his practice on handling finance and corporate matters in addition to restructuring matters. With his broad range of legal and financial experience, clients seek out Andrew to help them solve their complex financing and funding issues, to access capital, to workout troubled investments, and to help their businesses grow through acquisitions.

Entrepreneurs work with Andrew to form new businesses, enter into joint ventures and raise venture capital funding.   He regularly represents lenders and borrowers in connection with asset securitizations, secured loans and CMBS eligible mortgage loans.  Andrew also works with investors looking for sound and strategic advice and guidance in making private equity and venture capital investments and forming investment funds.

Andrew has a long history of representing debtors, creditors, lenders, trustees, landlords and purchasers of assets in various bankruptcy, restructuring and workout transactions.  Andrew’s work spans the spectrum of bankruptcy cases including preparing debtors for bankruptcy, DIP financing, adequate protection fights, preparing plans of reorganization, plan confirmation proceedings, 363 sales, avoidance actions, contract assumption and rejection, and adversary proceedings.  Andrew has represented significant creditors and stakeholders in some of the largest and most complex bankruptcy cases including United Airlines, K-Mart, Mirant, General Motors, Petters Group Worldwide and Sentinel Management.
